Filing a Discrimination Complaint


Overview
The NAACP is only seeking information to assist you concerning this complaint.

If you have a Legal Redress, Civil/Human Rights or Discrimination complaint that needs to be investigated, please click on the link below to download the NAACP Missouri City, TX and Vicinity Branch Legal Redress/Civil and Human Rights complaint form. The NAACP Missouri City, TX and Vicinity Branch is not a law firm, does not have a staff of attorneys and does not give legal advice. At the most we can investigate your complaint and/or refer you to the proper agency/authority/attorney to handle your complaint. We do not take complaints over the phone or without the completed complaint form. We will only investigate or make referrals for complaints that are for violations within our purview - civil and human rights violations or discriminatory in nature in keeping with our mission statement:


Mission Statement:

The NAACP’s principal objective is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority citizens of the United States and eliminate race prejudice. The NAACP seeks to remove all barriers of racial discrimination through democratic processes. This mission is accomplished by seeking the enactment and enforcement of federal, state and local laws securing civil rights, and by informing the public of the adverse effects of racial discrimination. From school desegregation, fair housing, employment and voter registration, top health and equal economic opportunity, the NAACP is working successfully with allies of all races, plays a significant role in establishing legal precedents in order to improve the quality of life of America’s downtrodden.

Please be advised that filing a discrimination complaint with the NAACP does not mean that the NAACP Missouri City, TX and Vicinity Branch will be representing you in any legal matter. If you believe you have a discrimination claim, your must file a claim with the appropriate State or Federal agency in a timely manner. Failure to do so may prevent you from pursing a claim in a court of law.
